Trader Joe's 714 summer job was a great opportunity to exercise and to learn more about grocery store operations. Working an 8 hour shift at Trader Joe's is like doing an 8 hours shift of cardio at the fitness club.

I learned so much that I decided to keep the job for nearly ten months until I enrolled the full stack developer bootcamp.

I was observing Trader Joe's operation with the eyes of a trained business manager (M.B.A.), where all aspects of operation, inventory, merchandising, and customer relation managment became more obvious as time passed

Curiosity took the best of me, so I began to research the Twin Cities Metro grocery store market using my marketing, economics, transportation, urban planning, and geographic information system training.

Soon, I was able to detect market segmentation, marketing and retailling strategies, and just-in-time inventory management policies. Findings are reported into a business plan.

Working as a faculty at Normandale Community College was a great opportunity to keep my knowledge at the state of the art technology. The list of courses I tought the most include:

I was invited to develop and teach a course about Geographic Information Sciences for business. The course consisted in training students to evaluate market potential, market penetration, and company logistics using geographic information sciences. Half of the class were Geographic Information Sciences students and the other Business Marketing Research students. Associating students in pair groups allowed them to share experiences and training on real cases studies. Students delivered a business plan for the grocery store industry, the antique shop industry, and other industries, with supporting maps showing market reality.

Students seeking law enforcement career had to take law enforcement statistics. I taught such statistic courses using real cases studies to trigger students' interest in understanding how statistics worked in law enforcement. We covered all basic subjects such as descriptive statistics, central tendency, hypothesis testing, regression, ANOVA, CANOVA, using a Geographic Information Sciences component. Students worked on real cases combining secondary data and moke up primary data for their studies. Students deliver criminal cases analysis as through class capstone projects.
